Canadian scenario · Change

An M365 change is not finished until people know what to do in their working language.

Un changement M365 n’est terminé que lorsque l’équipe sait quoi faire dans sa langue de travail.

Enabling a feature, changing a policy, or introducing Copilot does not automatically create adoption. The work is to connect the decision, affected people, message, and verification.

The decision to make

This guide helps a bilingual organization decide when a short communication is enough and when change needs a separate plan.

Decide before translating

Two versions of a message do not fix an unclear decision. First define what changes, for whom, when, what remains the same, and where help is available. French and English can then stay aligned without becoming word-for-word copies.

Match vocabulary to actual work

Microsoft feature names, internal habits, and interface language do not always align. Useful communication connects the product term to the expected action: sign in again, choose a method, move a file, or request approval.

Prepare first-day support

The person announcing a change, the person answering questions, and the person able to adjust configuration may be different. Naming each role keeps every question from escalating to leadership.

Verify adoption without inventing a score

Verification can stay simple: did affected people receive the message, are recurring questions understood, and is an exception blocking a team? Full adoption or structured training may become a separate project.

Decision checklist

What should be true before considering this area under control.

  • The change and effect are explained
  • French and English express the same decision
  • Terms match the interfaces in use
  • A support path is named
  • A post-change check is planned

Next step

Prepare change as a team decision.

See the monthly decision cadence, then review permission readiness before a Copilot or sharing change.
